Embark on a journey to the heart of trail-building and conservation. The Blue Blaze Academy introduces you to the fascinating world of trail development and maintenance. Hosted by the Buckeye Trail Association (BTA) and North Country Trail Association, this unique workshop series offers hands-on learning, outdoor adventure, and a community of trail enthusiasts.
What is Blue Blaze Academy?
Blue Blaze Academy is a weekend workshop series held at different locations along the Buckeye Trail. Designed for all experience levels, the Academy welcomes:

- Experienced Trail Adopters
- Work crew members
- Section Supervisors
Whether you’re starting out or deepening your skills, you’ll find practical training and inspiration.

Camping
Camping areas are provided by the Buckeye Trail Association and our partners, giving you a chance to camp under the stars, share meals, swap stories around the campfire, and build lasting connections.
Immersion in nature
Explore the beauty of the natural landscapes surrounding the Buckeye Trail, enjoy the diverse flora and fauna and some of Ohio’s most scenic landscapes.
