This portion of SR 772 is part of Zane’s Trace, an early road between Zanesville and Maysville, KY. Turn SW onto SR 772 SW past G w/ deli. Soon, enter Pike Cty (0.28 mi). After 0.3 mi, SR 772 turns hard SSE. Continue W, now on Morgan’s Fork Rd (C3), which remains part of Zane’s Trace. After 0.5 mi, enter Pike State Forest. After 400’ exit the skid road onto footpath W that soon begins a climb heading N. Continue ascent as trail turns back S and later more westerly.
