What to expect
The Stockport Section offers a mix of hilly, forested terrain and quiet back roads, with significant off-road mileage through former American Electric Power ReCreation lands—now part of the Appalachian Hills Wildlife Area. The section includes scenic views, abundant wildlife, and small-town charm in communities along the Muskingum River.

The Jesse Owens State Park Campgrounds, managed by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, offers four no-fee campgrounds. Campers should follow the self-registration process. Campsites may be occupied on a first-come, first-served basis with a two-week maximum stay. All other state park camping rules apply. Off-peak season: From November 1 – April 1.
