Parking locations

• Point 4: The Horse Trail Pull Off provides a day use parking area with 3 spaces.

• Point 5: At the Horse Trail Parking/Power Line Access Road, you can find day use parking with 6 spaces.

• Point 20: Headquarters Bridle Trail Parking Area has a day use parking area with 4 spaces.

• Point 21: The Scioto Trail State Park Parking Area features a day use parking area with 23 spaces, as well as a pit toilet.

• Point 21: The Scioto Trail State Forest Parking Area B has a day use parking area with 4 spaces.

• Point 22: The Scioto Trail State Forest Parking Area C has day use parking with 2 spaces.

Resupply locations

• Waverly: Izzy’s One Stop Marathon, 16 Blain Highway (on state Route 23 about 0.5 miles north of Woods Hollow Road, between Pts 24 and 25).

• Londonderry: Family Dollar, 35738 U.S. Route 50; Marathon Gas convenience store, 35414 U.S. Route 50; both east of Pt 9.

• Nipgen/Bainbridge: Frednecks Mini-Mart, 144 state Route 772, 0.1 mi SW of Pt 29.

Camping locations

• Point 4: The Dullen Campsite is NOT on the Buckeye Trail, nor is it particularly close, being approximately two miles southeast of the trail on the Dullen Loop of the Logan Backpack Trail. However, it is lower than the surrounding terrain, with access to filterable water and a designated campsite. Additionally, it offers another option if the primitive spaces at the firetower are already full. To reach this campsite follow the red-blazed Logan Backpack Trail to Tar Hollow State Forest Point R (approximately one mile) and then proceed to Point S (approximately one more mile). The trail section between Points R and S is lower terrain and may offer access to filterable water without needing to go all the way to the Dullen Campsite. The Logan Backpack Trail is not maintained or managed by the Buckeye Trail Association. The campsite (designated by the Ohio Division of Forestry) also offers a privy and picnic table.

• Point 20: To get to the Scioto Trail State Park Family Campground, follow Stoney Creek Road west for 0.1 miles to its intersection with Lake Road. Then, head north on Lake Road past the State Park Office. Near the swimming beach on Caldwell Lake after 0.7 miles, exit Lake Road onto a dirt road into the campground.

• Point 21: The Scioto Trail State Park Primitive Campground is a walk-in family camp area (camping with a fee, parking, privy, picnic table, and water, seasonally) that may be reached by following an unblazed bridle trail west to the west end of the picnic area below Stewart Lake Dam. The camp area is located in the lawn across Stoney Creek Road from the dam.

• Point 26: To learn about the Buckeye Trail Association (BTA) Schmidt Campsite, contact the BTA Office at 740.394.2008.

• Point 27: Mapleberry Farm Campsite, between Points 28 and 29, Mapleberry Farms (458 Mt. Tabor Road, Waverly, offers free camping. Contact the owners before you set up camp by calling 740.947.2331 or texting 740.649.7182. Water is available at the house.

• Camping is available on the farm of Steve Scott, 35265 U.S. Route 50 East, just east of the village.
