What to expect

The Norwalk Section offers a pastoral setting with many farms along its route on the North Coast Inland Trail (NCIT). This is a gentle, easier walk for those who want to stroll rather than hike, and the abundance of crossroads makes it possible to plan loop hikes without backtracking.

Heading primarily east, the Buckeye Trail passes through several villages and the cities of Bellevue and Norwalk. After leaving Wakeman and the NCIT just east of town, the trail follows a series of roads going east or south for another 14 miles before going off-road into Findley State Park. Here the section ends and the Medina Section begins.
