What to expect

This section begins as the Buckeye Trail leaves the Little Miami Scenic Trail and heads into the expansive landscapes of Caesar Creek State Park. Hikers enjoy over 20 miles of lakeshore footpath, passing through forests, meadows, and the park’s public beach. Beyond the park, the trail weaves together quiet back roads and rail-trails, guiding you through the lively college town of Yellow Springs and past cultural and historic landmarks. Continuing west, the Buckeye Trail traverses a mix of more back roads and natural areas before ending at Pearl’s Fen and the Troy Section.
