Volunteer Spotlight: Jill Moorhead

In less than two years as a Buckeye Trail Association member, Jill Moorhead has made an extraordinary impact. Shortly after joining, she stepped into a leadership role on the Board of Trustees—and in that time, has already logged more than 800 volunteer hours.

Jill brings her professional expertise as the leader of a successful marketing company to her volunteer work, serving as a driving force behind the relaunch of the BTA website and the redesign of its email newsletters. Her vision, creativity, and strategic thinking have helped strengthen how the organization connects with members and the broader community.

Known for being courageous, agile, and action-oriented, Jill approaches both her outdoor adventures and professional life with energy and determination. She actively seeks out opportunities to build connections and foster community, making a lasting impression wherever she goes.

An avid hiker, Jill has explored sections of the Buckeye Trail across the state, deepening her connection to the trail and its mission. She also has a strong interest in Ohio’s history and has spent time diving into Buckeye Trail archives, helping preserve and better understand the story of the trail.
