Advocacy season is underway

Each year, March and April are active months for the Buckeye Trail Association’s Advocacy Program, culminating in meetings with members of the Ohio General Assembly. Those visits have now begun, as shown in the photo below.

Advancing the Ohio Trails Vision

This year, the Ohio Trails Partnership (OTP)—of which the Buckeye Trail Association is a founding member—is advocating for a funding request from state legislators to support the 2019 Ohio Trails Vision.

The initiative aims to help the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) implement statewide trail improvements, expand access, and strengthen local and regional trail networks.

How you can make a difference

The BTA and OTP are asking members and supporters to contact their local Ohio State Senator by email and request their support for this transformative funding request.

Your voice can help ensure Ohio continues investing in its trail systems for recreation, transportation, and economic benefit.
