Victoria recounts her journey to the Buckeye Trail’s northern terminus at Headlands Beach and Mentor Marsh, where she celebrated with hikers who’ve completed the trail before. Along the way she crossed road stretches, passed lighthouses, marshes, and wildflower swamp, and gathered advice from veteran thru-hikers on planning, pacing, and perseverance.
