It will be a bit more impressive after the upper and lower floors get renovated, but that of course will take lots of volunteer time and money .. much like a barn near Tappan Lake. Last year at the grand opening they had one of the original shelters set up in the center of the main area .. items from some early hikers in displays .. old photos on the walls .. a weather beaten sign from Mount Katahdin .. and some digitized pictures and journals on a computer just inside the main door.
