I'm planning a day hike from Piedmont Marina (Bowerston Section) to the Red Hill Farm Wildlife Conservation area.

Do you have any recommendations for parking along the way in, at, or near the beginning of the Belle Valley section?
The write up on the map mentions a conference center, would parking be available there for the day?

Any information or tips would be appreciated.

It's been a couple years, but when I hiked through Red Hill Farm with another fellow, we parked one car at pt. 1 and one at pt. 3. I can't remember how good the spots were. Sorry. As far as the conference center, as far as I remember, that was inside the farm, and the road was gated. CW

Thanks.  It was reassuring that you parked there.
We found a nice flat grassy area to park off the road at the intersection at point 1.

Any suggestions on breaking up Belle Valley into 10-12 mile day hikes?

It's been a long time, and my hike notes aren't too hot.  I can tell you how we did it, but I can't remember how good the parking was. (At least I can't recall any serious problems.)

Pts 3-10        14.7 miles
Pts 10-18       15.9
Pts  18-24      10.8
Pts.  24-30     12.5

Maybe you could break the first two into 3 days.

Warning: Easy to get lost between 17 and 18.

Good hiking, Clockwise Grin
