R.I.P. Michael Grove
although he was not a member of the Buckeye Trail Association, unless he very recently joined, anyone who hiked along the MEST|BT|NCT or as far south to Lockington most likely seen some of his trail maintenance work.
this year as a VIP (Volunteer in the Park) he had already registered about 950 hours of work.
last year as a VIP he had clocked in 700 hours.
and the year before that I know he did some work then too.
Mike was working on the trail less than a mile north of Point 1 Delphos Section (Auglaize County) when he passed away.

He will be dearly missed.

for those of you wanting more information about him, you can find his obit in the St. Marys The Evening Leader, the Wapakoneta Daily News, or the Lima News.
