Finished Massillon this morning by passing through the quiet town center of Hartville.

I began at the Green town park by the roundabout and hiked north passing another hiker heading south.  'Fallen tree' was heading to points south, stopped for a chat before going separate ways.

Continued on reaching point 17 by 6:30 pm making a Sunday total of 26.8 miles.

Highlights were the blimp hanger and the gardens at quail hollow.

The negative was the unmarked horsetrail maze in quail hollow.  By following the bike trail and some dead reckoning and bush wacking I found the proper trail at the office.

Another negative was the excessively busy roads and little shoulder.

Well marked, fresh in mogadore reservoir but a small dead end into multiflora roses very near point 17.  Just stay < 50 north on the bike trail.

Pioneer,  Poppie got lost in Quail Hollow,  I think Capn. Blue said he did, and Bob Simons and I did too.  Pretty section though, mostly very well maintained, as I remember.  Keeping time, Clockwise

Yes. I got lost in Quail Hollow State Park. I heard that problem was taken care of but I guess not.

Not much of anything new.
When I went through Quail Hollow in 2007 (or 2008) I got lost when I went through clockwise.  Came out by dead reckoning.

On the way back to my car, counterclockwise, I could follow the trail.

There is no blazing in some of quail hollow on the horse trails plus I came upon a paper sign in a plastic protector laying on the ground deep in the park proclaiming ' new trail'.   I followed the bike trail until I was across from pinedale road so I turned west through the bush right to the paved trail.

The horse trail is a maze, one branch took me out to a road.

The blimp hanger is a must see.

I'm sorry, but I'm confused. At least most of the places described are on the Mogadore section, right? I'm guessing that you finished the Massillon section by passing through the town center of Hartville and continued onto the southern end of the Mogadore section (going "counter-clockwise"). I've hiked the Massillon section but not the Mogadore section (yet), so that may explain why I'm confused. Can you offer just a little clarification for me? By the way, reports on segments where it's difficult to follow the trail (such as Quail Hollow) are always helpful, so thanks offering your report.

Yes, I walked through Hartsville and then continued north into Mogadore.  Clockwise or counterclockwise, I'm an opportunist and go whichever is convenient.

Pardon the unclear directions, I only have this dinky phone keyboard so I write like a telegrapher.

I'm eager to finish the 37 miles of Mogadore plus 5 miles into Burton so if you want to do any part let me know.

I had some misdirection at Quail Hollow in the meadow section where I was trying to come out behind a stone building I think.
